Can a fearsome creature of legend find it in the gnarled roots of her heart to fall in love with a human?

Paduura—a crotchedy forest hag, caretaker of the grove, and proverbial monster in the woods—hates humans for cutting down her beloved Elderwood Trees. She encounters a gentle lumberjack who plants trees as a way to replenish what the humans take from the forest. After witnessing such compassion, she must decide if one human’s life is worth as much as that of her Elderwood Grove.

Currently available as part of She Was Monstress Volume 2 until June 30 2026. Planned solo release Fall 2026.
